Lady receiving HelpPROGRAM AREAS
Utility and Rent Assistance
-  limited funds are available to offer partial payments toward utility or rent bills.

Crisis Food Pantry- 3 days of meals and toiletry items are provided on an as-needed basis to local  persons in need.

Clothing Closet- clothing is provided on an as-needed basis for everyday wear,  professional attire and school clothing.

BackpacksSchool Supply Backpack Drive-
Preregistered families can receive a stuffed backpack for each school age child prior to the beginning of school.  This enables the child to attend school the first day with dignity and a sense of confidence they possess the tools to succeed in their academic experience.

Bridge Kits
Bridge Kits
- Kits provided to graduating foster students, Domestic Violence Victims or previously homeless persons who are bridging to independence. Kits contain a blanket, set of sheets, towels, pots, pans, utensils, dishes and basic cleaning supplies. This enables citizens to focus on job search and educational goals rather than their basic needs

Christmas Gifts

Holiday Helps- Holiday food boxes and gifts are provided to preregistered families during Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Thanks for supplying Christmas for so many this year!  Over 200 gifts were distributed along with Christmas dinner for each family!

Assessment and Referrals- Each client takes part in an assessment using the 4People Resources and Case Management Tool that looks at documentation of their need and their resources.  Clients participate in setting goals for improvement and how they can take ownership of the solution to the problem they face.  Referrals are carefully made to local resources in agencies and churches as well as other organizations.  This ensures a responsible distribution of local resources to local needs and prevents “abuse of the system”.  Every effort is made to connect people with leaders who will provide follow up help by coming alongside in coaching or mentoring situations.

Partnerships-

JRM works with other area churches and agencies to fill in the blanks of services that may exist.  For example, when a Domestic Violence victim receives help with housing, they find themselves without the basic supplies to cook, eat, bathe and sleep.  JRM can provide these basic supplies and help them find other helps as well in other places, such as financial counseling or faith-based support groups such as Celebrate Recovery.
